3D printers allow you create custom three-dimensional (3D) objects. From scale models, to simple accessories or complex parts - if you can imagine it, you can build it.

3D Printing at the Library

You need a library card to use a 3D printer.

You must keep and eye on your print. Failure to cancel a failed print may revoke printing privileges.

Models of offensive items, smoking accessories, drug paraphernalia, weapons or weapon parts of any size are not permitted.

Central Library:
2 bookings are available each day at 11:00 am in Heffner Studio. Bookings can be made once per week, up to 7 days in advance.

Community Libraries:
3D printers are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the community libraries.

Ultimaker 2+ 3D Printer

Create and edit 3D models using Cura software, or download free 3D models from Thingiverse.

  • Available at all library locations.
  • Use an SD card to transfer your model to the printer.
  • Supported file types: STL and OBJ
  • Build volume: 223 x 223 x 205 mm (8.78 x 8.78 x 8.07 in)
